AusEAASI has a lot of environments to choose from. Some of them are not configured very well. The following shows the best base environments for typical operating systems that you should use. For best results, cut and paste the string into the AusEAASI search bar, and look for the one published environment that does not have any software attached to it. Bookmark this to find it easily again.
Naming convention = BASE ENVIRONMENT NAME + accession number exact name of software package + your files catalog number_your files name.
For example: Windows 98 SE – BASE3 + 2023.3.273 Microsoft Office 97 Professional Edition + BA96-06793_Microsoft Access Database
To find the software we have already built environments for, try searching for its name briefly in AusEAASI. If you don’t see it there, search in the ACMS software collection catalog https://hub.catalogit.app/7049/folder/4b278cb0-81de-11ee-9db7-c15820171dfa
If we don’t have your required software in AusEAASI or this catalogue, we have a budget to purchase more software items for the Australian Emulation Network. Also, if you have software items in your collection, consider digitizing it and creating an environment that we all can share. Please get in touch with Cynde Moya at cmoya@swin.edu.au to discuss requesting other software.
